Genna's is my standard. and i do consider myself a bloody mary expert, who still feels homemade is the only way to ensure perfection. But Genna's build-your-own can't be beat, and they have homemade mix, which is the only way to go. and they gladly make them Maria instead (w/ tequila, which is far superior to vodka). my only complaint is the size - bloodys should really be served in the biggest glass possible, to accomodate the salad. but, i'm willing to sacrifice it for the great saturday morning farmer's market ambience. go buy Stella's cheesebread, then head to Genna's - the perfect breakfast!

Genna's has a bloody mary bar so the spice and salad is in your control. The flavor and spice of the bloody as is from the bartender is able to stand on it's own.

I visited Genna's during the farmer's market, so I got to experience the Bloody Mary bar in all it's glory. It's impossible to judge salad and spice when you get to build the bloody yourself from a wide array of options, so full stars seem fair. Good strength, size, low cost, and beer chaser make this a definite 5 star bloody.

Saturday mornings during Madison's famous farmer's market, Genna's lounge opens its doors to reveal... A Bloody Mary Bar. It starts with Genna's basic concoction, then you head to the bar for the add-ons. Garlic salt, celery salt, pepper, different hot sauces of varying heat, and a wonderful assortment of cheeses and marinated vegetables from pearl onions, olives, and peperoncini to marinated asparagus and (don't knock it til you try it) brussel sprouts and much more. Overall, a 5 star start to your morning, the way you want it.
